PORTFOLIO

Voltaire is proud to have collaborated to these great brands’ campaigns.

BOOST

French adaptation and voice-over direction.

We adapted the French script to translate the creative idea, while introducing nuances and twists relevant to the Quebec market.

JAMIESON

Casting, on-screen direction and voice-over direction.

This script was developed around the expression “having a case of the blahs,” which does not exist in French, so we played on the situational humour of the spot to create a coherent storyline.

SLINGSHOT

French adaptation, casting and voice-over direction.

This VO needed to be delivered within a single week, which we were able to accomplish — from \ casting to the studio recording.

ORVILLE REDENBACHER’S

Casting, on-screen direction and voice-over direction.

Inspired by Game of Thrones, this spot relied heavily on the line between fantasy and reality. So we gave the actors lots of room to improvise on set, which allowed us to capture magic moments at the editing stage.

NATURE’S PATH

Casting, on-screen direction and voice-over direction.

The challenge of this spot lay in ensuring the behaviour of the teenager did not cross the line, and remained endearing instead of boorish.

VH

French adaptation and on-screen direction.

Wacky humor doesn’t always translate very well. Close collaboration with the production team, along with giving plenty of latitude to actors on set to try things while keeping everybody focused, helped us create a very unique ad.

KIT KAT

Casting and voice-over direction.

Working with newer actors who do not have much experience in studio can be stressful for everyone involved. Proceed with a light touch, put everyone at ease, divide the work into smaller parts, progress with baby steps and, before you know it, all the deliverables are in the can.

IESO

Casting and voice-over direction.

This VO was not easy to record in a way that would tell the story in a compelling manner. An enormously patient actress and resourcefulness from everyone involved allowed us to tell the story in a natural manner that unifies all the elements of the spot.

MECC

French adaptation and on-screen direction.

The concept of this ad relies on a turn of phrase that is represented visually, so extra care was made to ensure everything worked as intended.
